Obituary for Art Singleton
It is with profound sadness that the family of Art Singleton announce his peaceful passing on December 14th at the young age of 70. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 49 years, Patsy; daughter: Tracy (Danny); the greatest blessings of his life, grandchildren: Emily and Avery; brother, Boyd (Kim); sisters, Margaret (Hughie); Donna (Don); Wanda (Mev); sisters-in-law, Joyce (Ron); Joan (Wes); brother-in-law, John (Ann); as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Art is predeceased by his beloved parents, Selby and Jean Singleton; in-laws, Henry and Mary Mercer; brothers, Jack and Eric; brother-in-law, Henry.
Art never gave up fighting, even though his last couple of years were tough he was determined, strong and resilient. He, the black stallion, spent many years of his life, hunting, fishing, playing darts and combing his hair. He was passionate about the outdoors and loved spending the majority of his time at the cabin, sitting around the fire or cutting a load of wood. Art loved his wife, daughter and grandchildren more than life itself. Emily and Avery truly were poppy’s world; they were his sunshine on a cloudy day, his reason to live. He was well known within the community and brought joy to those who were blessed with his presence.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Slade’s Funeral Home, Conception Bay Highway, Spaniard’s Bay on Thursday: 2-5 P.M. & 7-9 P.M. In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in his loving memory to All Saints Anglican Church, Tilton.
The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022 at 1 P.M. from All Saints Anglican Church, Tilton.
