Obituary for Calvin James
Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family on Friday, June 12, 2020 at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s Mr. Calvin James of Bryant’s Cove. Age 72 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, beloved wife of 53 years: Gloria; his one son: Douglas (Heather); 2 daughters: Sandra (Brendan) Best & Gloria (Alan) Best all of Bryant’s Cove; 3 precious grandchildren whom he adored, they were his world: Jerrett (Merissa), Sheldon and granddaughter: Morgan; also 2 brothers: Stan (Joan), Labrador City & Gordon (Florence), Upper Island Cove; 2 sisters: Olive (Dave) Greeley, Upper Island Cove & Beverley Pike, Bryant’s Cove and a large number of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Predeceased by parents: Isaac & Jessie James; brothers: Roy, Llewlyn & Douglas; sister: Hazel; son-in-law: Tony Stone; sister-in-law: Winnie James; parents-in-law: Walter & Susanna Smith; brothers-in-law: Wayne Smith & Jacob Smith; nephew: Derek James; niece: Beverly Yetman and great niece: Kayla Moore.
Due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic, a private family service will be held at St. Andrew’s Anglican Cemetery, Bryant’s Cove.
Donations may be made in his loving memory to a charity of ones choice.
