Obituary for Cecil W. Russell

Mr. Cecil W. Russell of Coley’s Point passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. He was 80 years old.

He leaves to mourn his loving family:

Children: Brenda (Trevor) Bowering, Darlene (Jim) Southwell & Scott Russell
Grandchildren: Rebecca (Ryan) Southwell, Victoria (Chris) Southwell, Ryan Bowering & Rachel Southwell
2 Special Great Grandchildren: Peyton & Zoe Parsons
Brother: Ken (Doreen) Russell
Sister: Barbara (Russell) Parsons
Brothers-in-law: Frazer (Vida) Deering & Frank (Jeanette) Deering
Sisters-in-law: Pauline (Frank) Adams & Margaret (Bill) Mugford

The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the Dialysis Unit at the Carbonear General Hospital.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Slade’s Funeral Home, L.T. Stick Drive, Bay Roberts on Friday: 11 A.M.-12 Noon, 2-5 P.M. & 7-9 P.M. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in his loving memory to the Kidney Foundation or to St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Coley’s Point.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 2 P.M. from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church & Cemetery, Coley’s Point. This will be by invitation only.

Proof of vaccination and government issued identification will be required for visitation and the funeral service.
