Obituary for Clyde Davis

It is with great sadness and the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Clyde Davis at the Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion in Carbonear, age 90 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his partner of many years: Yvonne Lewis, her children: Harold (Barb) and Wesley; grandchildren: Maddie, Chloe, Alexis, Jacob, and Hilary; her sister Dale and children: Laura and Jordan and Clyde’s close friend: Tom Mahaney (Uncle Tom). Clyde also leaves to mourn his brother: Everett (Evelyn); sisters: Florence Perry, Carol Wilkinson (Bob) and Glenys McNeil (Don); as well as many relatives and friends. Clyde is predeceased by his brothers: Frederick and Samuel and sisters: Marjorie and Anne.

Clyde was born in Carbonear and worked at the Argentia Naval Base for a short time before moving to Stephenville to complete his career at the Stephenville Air Force Base. After retirement he returned to his family home in Carbonear. Clyde was passionate about music and loved nothing more than playing guitar with his friends.

Cremation has taken place, a burial service will be held 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at the Interfaith Cemetery.
