Mr. Edward Newman of Spaniard’s Bay passed away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, January 8, 2022. He was 91 years old.
He leaves to mourn his loving family:

Sons: Derek (Raylene) Newman & Eddie (Sharon) Newman
Grandchildren: Jamie (Charlene), Jennifer (Robby), Samuel (Angie), Kara (Mario), Anthony (Jessica), Evan, Jacob (Chelsea) & Holly
Great Grandchildren: Alexander, Grayson, Lucas, Jaxon, Daisy, Sammy & Marina
Brothers & Sisters: Clarice Francis, Rosie Smith & Lillian (Brian) Tarrant
Step Brothers & Sisters: Cecil (Flora) Newman, Calvin Newman, Clarence (Kim) Newman, Shirley (Wayne) Peddle, Effie (Garry) Sommers, Elsie (Charles) Reid, Lorraine (Junior) Hunt, Clarice (Derek) Newman & Lily Thomey
And a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends too many to mention.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Slade’s Funeral Home, Spaniard’s Bay on Monday: 10:30 A.M.-12 Noon, 2-5 P.M. & 7-9 P.M. In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Holy Redeemer Anglican Church, Spaniard’s Bay.
The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 2 P.M. from Holy Redeemer Anglican Church, Spaniard’s Bay with interment to follow at Maul Tree Hill Cemetery, Spaniard’s Bay. This will be by invitation only.
Proof of vaccination and government issued identification will be needed for both visitation and the Funeral Service.
