Obituary for Emmie Thompson

Mrs. Emmie Thompson of Coley’s Point passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, February 8, 2020.  Mrs. Thompson was 49 years old.

The Funeral Service will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, February 12th from Central United Church, Bay Roberts.  ***Due to severe weather conditions, the Funeral Service has been postponed until Thursday, February 13 at 2 P.M.*** Interment to follow at a late date.  

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Slade’s Funeral Home, 45-59 L.T. Stick Drive, Bay Roberts on Monday: 3-5 P.M. & 7-9 P.M. Tuesday: 10:30 A.M.-12 Noon, 2-5 P.M. & 7-9 P.M. and Wednesday: 10:30-11:30 A.M.  

In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in her loving memory to Central United Church, Bay Roberts.  

Mrs. Thompson’s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the 5th and 6th floors of the Carbonear General Hospital as well as the staff of the Cancer Clinic at the Health Sciences Centre, especially Cathy for the excellent care she received.
