Obituary

Mr. George Dobbin of Upper Island Cove passed away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, May 16, 2021. Mr. Dobbin was 83 years old.

He leaves to mourn his loving family:
Wife: Marjorie Dobbin
Daughter: Lisa (Linny Vey) Dobbin
Son: Wayne (Helen) Dobbin
Three Grandchildren: Jasmine Dobbin, Troy & Jessica Dobbin
Sister: Susie Byrne
Sisters-In-Law: Loretta McCarthy (Aubrey Reid), Frances (Terry) Walsh, Margaret (George) Evans, Jessie (Nathaniel) Smith & Doreen Whalen
Brother-In-Law: Terry McCarthy

And a large circle of family & friends

The Funeral Service will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, May 20, 2021 from Slade's Funeral Home, Upper Island Cove. This will be by invitation only. Interment will take place at a later date.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at SLADE'S FUNERAL HOME, CRANES ROAD, UPPER ISLAND COVE on Wednesday: 2 - 5 P.M. & Thursday: 10:30 A.M. - 12 Noon.

As expressions of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the George Dobbin Memorial Fund. (Email transfers can be sent to sladesfuneralhomenl@gmail.com, password: george. Please include a note stating what or whom the donation is for.)

Sincere condolences to Marjorie , Lisa ,Wayne , the grandchildren and The Dobbin and McCarthy families. I was saddened to hear of George's passing . Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers at this sad time . Rest in Peace, George, and may God bless all of you .
