Obituary for Gladys Mercer
Mrs. Gladys Mercer of Upper Island Cove passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, April 23, 2022. She was 92 years old.
She leaves to mourn her loving family:
Sons: Malcolm (Marjorie) & Gary
Daughters: Margaret (Claude), Ruby (Melvin) & Marina (Rev)
Sisters: Lizzie (Gordon) & Susie
Son-in-law: Dave
Daughter-in-law: Edith
Sister-in-law: Florence
And numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, & great, great- grandchildren

Daughters: Sadie & Velma
Grandson: Jamie
Siblings: Violet (George), Lawrence (Shirley), Winne (Walter), Raymond (Beatrice), Josiah, Phoebe (Angus) & Malcolm

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Slade’s Funeral Home, Cranes Road, Upper Island Cove, on Tuesday: 10:30 A.M.- 12 noon, 2-5 P.M. & 7-9 P.M. Flowers are gratefully accepted, or donations may be made to the Cancer Society in her loving memory.
The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 2 P.M. from St. Peter’s Anglican Church and Cemetery, Upper Island Cove.
Masks will be required for visitation and the funeral service.
