Obituary for Mary Bishop (Mercer)
Mrs. Mary Bishop of Upper Island Cove passed peacefully away at the Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. She was 96 years old.
She leaves to mourn her loving family:
Children: Gladys Cake, Howard (Christine) Bishop, Ethel (Ralph) Coombs, Lloyd (Peggy) Bishop, Douglas (Doreen) Bishop, Margaret Drover & Marina (Nick) Ash
12 Grandchildren
16 Great Grandchildren
And a large circle of family and friends

Husband: Esau (2008)
Parents: Eloil & Ethel Mercer
Parents-in-law: Lorenzo & Laura Bishop
4 Brothers & 3 Sisters
Sons-in-law: Keith Cake & Leslie Drover
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Slade’s Funeral Home, Cranes Road, Upper Island Cove on Friday: 11 A.M.-12 Noon, 2-5 P.M. & 7-9 P.M. and Saturday: 10:30 A.M.-12 Noon. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in her loving memory to St. Peter’s Anglican Church Cemetery Fund.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 2 P.M. from St. Peter’s Anglican Church & Cemetery, Upper Island Cove. This will be by invitation only.
Proof of vaccination and government issued identification will be required for visitation and the funeral service.
