Mrs. Millicent Mercer of Spaniard’s Bay passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. Mrs. Mercer was 75 years old.
She leaves to mourn her loving family:

Millicent will surely be missed by a special group of friends who she called her "Camping Buddies" and the Golden Arm Campground family. Her 30 plus years of enjoying each camping season and the many people she met along the way always held a special place in her heart.
The family would like to send a sincere thank you to a number of people who supported and cared for Millicent over the past several years: The Carbonear General Hospital Medical Day Care staff, Dr. Dawn House, The Cancer Clinic, Dr. Kara Laing and the physicians and administrative staff of the Bay Roberts Medical Center.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Slade’s Funeral Home, 488 CBN Highway, Spaniard’s Bay on Thursday: 11:30 A.M.-9 P.M. In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in her loving memory to the Janeway Children’s Hospital or to the Cancer Foundation-NL.
The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 2 P.M. from Slade’s Funeral Home, 488 CBN Highway, Spaniard’s Bay. Interment will follow at Greenhead Anglican Cemetery, Spaniard’s Bay.
