Muriel L. Penney (nee French) 1944-2023 aged 79 years went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Sunday, May 14, 2023. Her strong and unbreakable faith helped her through her journey with cancer. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been predeceased by her parents James L. & Armorel French and brother David French.
She leaves to mourn her loving family:
Husband of 57 years: Gerald Penney
Son: Kenneth Penney (Nicole) of British Columbia
Daughter: Geraldine Penney-Beaton (Cordell) of Nova Scotia
Grandchildren: Amanda Penney, Christine Beaton, & Charlie Penney
Brothers-in-law: Calvin Penney (Pauline), Frank Penney (Ella)
Sisters-in-law: Chloe French, & Margaret Penney
Special Friends: Sherry Penney, & Angela Auchincloss
As well as a circle of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives…

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Slade’s Funeral Home, Powell Drive, Carbonear on Thursday: 2-5 P.M. & 7-9 P.M.
As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her loving memory to the Salvation Army Food Bank, or to The Happy Tree
The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 2 P.M from the Salvation Army Citadel, Carbonear. Interment will take place at a later date.
