Obituary for Ralph Maxwell Holmes

Mr. Ralph Maxwell Holmes of Bay Roberts passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, November 16, 2020. Mr. Holmes was 85 years old.

Ralph is predeceased by his parents: Edward and Blanche Holmes; sister: Susan (in infancy); sister-in-law: Margaret Holmes; brother-in-law: Albert Drover. Ralph is also predeceased by his father and mother-in-law: Albert and Dorothy Mercer; brother-in-law: Ian Mercer (in infancy) and Phyllis’ husband: Jim.

Ralph leaves, with wonderful memories, his wife: Yvonne; his children: Patricia, Terrence (Michele), Peter (Patsy), Jacqueline (Amin), Christopher (Heather) & Maxwell (Mark); stepson: Greg (Gina); grandchildren: Natasha (Beat), Matthew (Danielle), Jessica (Adam), Jordan, Nicholas, Justin (Michelle), Alida, Michael, Bradley, Braeden H., Braeden W., Hailey & Brody; Step-grandchildren: Sarah & Rebecca; great grandchild: Myla; siblings: Clarence & Marie, brothers-in-law: Eric (Shirley) & Doug (Ella); sisters-in-law: Florence (Glenn), Phyllis, Marilyn & Sheree (Lloyd) as well as a large number of nephews, nieces and friends.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at SLADE'S FUNERAL HOME, L.T. STICK DRIVE, BAY ROBERTS, on Thursday: 12 noon-4 P.M.

The Funeral Service will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, November 20, 2020 from Slade’s Funeral Home, L.T. Stick Drive, Bay Roberts. Interment will follow at St. Matthew’s Anglican Cemetery, Bay Roberts. This will be by invitation only.

In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in his loving memory to St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Bay Roberts. This can be done by email transfer to stmatthewsgiving2020@gmail.com . Please follow up with a note to: anglicanrectory@gmail.com .
