Obituary for Rex Vaters
It is with great sadness, the family of Rex Vaters of Carbonear (formally Victoria) announces his passing on April 30, 2022 at the age of 68, after a lengthy battle with cancer. He passed away peacefully at the Carbonear General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He leaves to mourn his loving family:
Wife: Debra
Step-sons: Chad (Tara) of Carbonear and Kyle (Julie) of Goose Bay
Grandchildren (loved beyond measure): Seth, Chloe, Cecily & Ruby
Brothers: Wayne (Diane) of Ontario & Lester of Victoria
Sisters: Peggy of Riverhead, Pansy (Neville) of Carbonear & Bonne (Sam) of Riverhead
Brother-in-law: Jim Case (Bev) of Mount Pearl
Sister-in-law: Sherri Burgess of Carbonear
Along with a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.
Predeceased By:
Parents: Fred & Mildred Vaters of Victoria
Parents-in-law: James & Patricia Case of Mount Pearl
Brothers-in-law: Walter Whalen of Harbour Grace & Clarence Burgess of Carbonear
Cremation, with no visitation by Mr. Vater’s request, with a private family celebration of his life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation in his loving memory.
