Obituary for Sherry Gosse (Parsons)

Sherry Rowena (Parsons) Gosse passed away at Health Sciences Center surrounded by her loved ones and friends on March 31, 2023. Sherry was born on June 4, 1966 and grew up in Upper Island Cove, Conception Bay and were fortunate to have had nearly 37 years together with Ramsey, the love of her life. Together, they raised 2 wonderful children Robbie (Tonya Squibb) and Kristen (Corey Pynn). They have 7 precious grandbabies who were the apple of nanny's eye and nanny's whole world: Katie, Preston, Austin, Kylie, Owen, Paisley and Brody.

Faith, family, friends was always a very big part of Sherry's life, along with volunteering and being an active part in multiple organizations and helping her community in any way she can.

Sherry will be forever loved and remembered by her sisters: Wanda Porter and Michelle (Derrick) French; her brothers Junior (Brenda) Parsons, Wade (Brenda Russell) Parsons, Terry (Sandra) Parsons, and her baby brother John (Amanda) Parsons. Special brother-in-law Arthur (Art) Gosse, as well as Fred (Darlene) Gosse, Bill (Joyce) Moores; sisters-in-law Elaine (John) Clarke, Betty (Keith Murphy) Coombs, Lillian (Gerard) Mugford, Janice (Dave) Earle, Kim (Jim) Seward. Sherry will also be missed by a very large circle of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Sherry was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Muriel Parsons, parents-in-law Fred and Pearl Gosse, brother Glen Parsons, special aunt, Jean Parsons, brother-in-law Andy Porter, sisters-in-law Ruth Moores Adderley, Mildred Moores and Myrtle Joy Gosse, special friends Glenys Penney and Dougie Bishop and her puppy Cocoa, as well as other extended members of both the Parsons and Gosse family.

Sherry leaves to mourn a very large circle of best friends: Lisa and Carl Gosse, Gary and Patsy Gosse, Clarence and Margie Gosse, Charlotte Bishop, Gary and Theresa Greeley, Les and Shelia Janes, Rosaline Squibb, her fabulous friends from her card club and wonderful friends on the old track.

The family would like to send out a special thank-you to Dr. Howse and the 7th floor nursing staff at Carbonear General Hospital for their compassionate care over the past few weeks. And a special thank you to all the family and friends who visited and helped with Sherry's care.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at the All Saint's Anglican Church of Tilton on Tuesday from 7-9 pm and Wednesday from 10:30 am - 1:30 pm followed by a service at 2 pm.

Sherry had a smile and laugh that could light up any room. She will be forever remembered and missed by so many more.
