Obituary

Mr. Walter J. Whalen of Hearts Desire passed away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, February 12, 2021. Mr. Whalen was 83 years old.

He leaves to mourn his loving family:
Daughters: Roxanne (William) Langer & Amanda (Justin Temple) Whalen
Sons: Noel (Susan Jackson) Whalen & Neil (Danielle Hurley) Whalen
Grandchildren: Maggie Eckert, Billy Langer, Christian Whalen, David Whalen, Daniel Whalen, Phillip, Amber & Adam
Great Granddaughter: Arizona Bromley
Brothers: Pat (Irene) Whalen & Reginald (Cecilia) St. George
Sisters: Anita (Harold) Power
Sister-In-Law: Dorothy Whalen
Brother-In-Law: Patrick Lahey
And a large circle of family & friends
Predeceased By:
Wife: Mary Margaret Whalen
Parents: Joseph & Lillian Whalen
Brother: John Whalen
Sister: Josephine Lahey

The Funeral Service will take place at a later date due to COVID-19. Interment will take place at Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery. This will be by invitation only.

As expressions of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted.

Sorry to hear of Walters passing. He was always a delightful friend who shared his humour and his pleasing personality with everyone he met. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family today. God bless.

There will be lots of excitement in heaven this week as the angels will be joined by Patty in the choir and laughing with Walt doing a skit. Rest in peace and friendship.
