After a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease, the family of Wayne Gosse announce his peaceful passing at Palliative Care Unit, Lane’s Retirement Home, St. John’s, on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at the age of 70.
Wayne was a professional Mining and Petroleum Engineer, who worked overseas for 6 years in Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and South Africa. His last 25 years of employment was at IOC Labrador City.
Leaving to mourn, sadly missed and ever remembered by sister: Lois (Wayne Cashin) of Mount Pearl
Nieces: Jennifer (Lorne LeDrew) of Paradise, Allison (Chad Neureuther) of Toronto
Nephew: Jason Cashin of Mount Pearl
Seven great nieces & nephews, whom he adored: Aiden, Kate, Alex, Jack, Charlotte, Evan & Olivia
Special friends Jim and Gladys George, Ralph & Jean Best, Betty Gosse, Sister Frances Flynn & Ray Bowering. Four special friends, since childhood, who he affectionately referred to including himself, as the Five Amigos: Robin Gosse, Bruce Sheppard, Dale Barrett and David Gosse (deceased).
He also leaves behind a large group of family and friends.

Cremation has taken place. The family will receive relatives and friends at Slade’s Funeral Home, Spaniards Bay on Saturday, April 30 at 10 am- 1 pm, 2-5 & 7-9. Celebration of Life to take place 2 PM, Sunday May 1, 2022 at Slade’s Funeral Home, Spaniards Bay.
