“Wilse” grew up across the road from me and down Antle’s Road. Aunt Carrie and Aunt Suse were better known to me as a child. My first vivid recollections of Wilse are of him getting married and building his house half way up the Ridge. He was ever and always a gentlemen; a human being of the finest kind. In the early 80s, Betty and I were home visiting. One of our children had a medical issue that required an X-Ray. It was a worrisome time. How pleasant it was to be greeted with Wilse's smile. He did the X-Ray and it showed there was a cent lodged in her esophagus. It 'peacefully' passed. May such beloved memories sooth the sorrow.
