Mr. James M. Callahan of Carbonear passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving family at the Private Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. Mr. Callahan was 89 years old.

He leaves to mourn his loving family:
Wife: Jean (Lawrence) Callahan of 65 years
Daughters: Christina & Leonard Squires- Mount Pearl, Mary & John Lacey- Bay Bulls
Son: James & Shirley Callahan- Bishop's Cove
Grandsons: Philip Pennell- Victoria, BC, John & Kelly Lacey, Christopher Lacey & Jason Lacey
Sister: Alice Glavine- Riverhead, Harbour Grace
Brother: Gerald & Diane Callahan- Riverhead, Harbour Grace
Brothers & Sister in law: Stanley Lawrence- Corner Brook, Peggy Lawrence- Carbonear, Edgar Purchase- Mount Pearl
Long time friend: Graham Norman of 60 plus years- Lewisport
And a large circle of nieces, nephews, family & friends.

Grandson: Bradley Callahan
Brother: Benjamin & Madge Callahan
Nephew: Raymond Callahan

In lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully accepted in his loving memory to Alzheimer's Society of Newfoundland.

The private family service will be held on Monday, January 4, 2021 from the Edward Slade Memorial Chapel, Carbonear.
